Live Life By Faith

A co worker offered to buy food the other day and I was concerned that he would have enough money to get home and for the rest of the week. I didn’t want to accept the offer if it meant hardship for him. His response to me was, “Mike, don’t you know by now I live by faith?” And the words have stayed with me. What a wonderful thing to be free enough from all anxiety and attachment to money and such to live one’s life by faith, and be happy when things go well, and accepting and persevering when they don’t. It is the taoist way, it is the catholic way, to live your life by faith, to trust in the Way, to trust in God, and just let it happen the way it’s going to happen.
