The Cracked Pipe Metaphor

For some reason, this metaphor came to me this morning and I thought it was pretty cool, so here it is:

When a pipe cracks, you fix it, usually with some sort of pipe cement or sealant. Sometimes, the repair does the trick and lasts for years(I’ve actually gobbed up pipes coming from the boiler and it worked like a charm!) But if the repair does not hold and the pipe starts leaking again, then you have to trash it and get a new pipe.

So, make of it what you will. I’m not a hundred per cent sure why it came to me yet either.
