Day 7: It’s All for Him

“The ultimate goal of the universe is to show the glory of God. ..Creation reveals our creator’s glory…when anything in creation fulfills its purpose it brings glory to God. ”

We bring glory to God when we
1. worship him
2. loving other believers
3. becoming like Christ
4. by serving others with our gifts
5. by telling others about him

“God has given gifts to each of you from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them well so that God’s generosity can flow through you.”

Living the rest of your life for the glory of God. Rick Warren says, “It’s time to settle this issue: who are you going to live for–yourself or God?

That’s a tough question–of course I would want to choose God, and trust that he has a decent plan in store for my temporal life here! And I’s want to spend some time defining our terms as to what exactly we mean by God, the ineffable and indefinable source of all things…

Question to consider: where in my daily routine can I become more aware of God’s glory?

From a taoist/zen perspective, where in my daily routine can I become more aware of the Glory of the way of things, of the tao…This Christian stuff is certainly very zen and very taoist, and that taoist stuff is very zen, so zen zen zen…
